The D-50 track drill is mounted on a rubber track carrier designed to traverse mud, snow, sand, steep slopes, uneven ground and wooded areas. It is rated to a 24,000 lb capacity and has all the drilling and sampling capabilities of the Mobile B-57 Rig.
The track carrier uses the latest in hydrostatic drive technology resulting in a carrier with low maintenance and high reliability.
The heavy duty tracks are 24 inches wide heavily reinforced rubber. This unit uses two-speed motors, which enables the rig to negotiate a 75% grade (with the 125HP engine) in low range and travel at 5.9 MPH in high range.
